My Writing for 5/25 & 5/26/2013

The Green Bay Packers need to retire Brett Favre's jersey number. That and why are the content in this article. There ya go

My recap of the Carl Froch/Mikkel Kessler rematch yesterday in England. Kessler won in 2010 in his home country of Denmark, so now it's his turn to go to a very hostile environment. Bout was a worthy sequel to their brawl a few years ago.

My Writing for 5/23/2013

A preview of sorts for the Manny Pacquiao/Brandon Rios bout, scheduled for November 23. I do give what amounts to a preview in the article, but it's mainly about whether or not this bout should have even been made in the first place.

My Writing for 5/22/2013

Brady Hoke called out Notre Dame for "chickening out" of playing against Michigan because the Fighting Irish were responsible for moving up the hiatus in the famous college football rivalry. I'm okay with Hoke's comments, and everybody should be to be completely honest.

My Writing for 5/20/2013

My look through the 2013 NFL schedule. I give plenty of thoughts on the Packers schedule and mention plenty of games that will be worth watching or should at least get some attention. Plus my thoughts on the Ravens starting the season on the road.

How the Nevin Shapiro scandal is a fitting piece of Miami (FL) University football history. It's pretty sad that this guy really is a fitting part of the school's story where football is concerned. I also managed to insert a mini-rant on rules based on sportsmanship in football as I wrote this.

My Writing for 5/9/2013

My look at the college football hall of fame class of 2013. I did like this year's class as a whole because there were plenty of guys getting inducted that I watched play on Saturdays when I was kid. There were other positives to this year's class, but that was the biggest one.

Are You Ready for Mayweather/Guerrero on Saturday?

Ruben Guerrero, the father and trainer of Robert Guerrero, has been no stranger to the promotion and hype of this bout, so why should this press conference have been any different? Robert Guerrero first caught my eye in 2008 and I have been a supporter of his ever since. I have been dying to see him get a match of this caliber and am glad to see that he has gotten such a match. I'm still picking Mayweather to win on Saturday night, but I think Guerrero can give him more of a challenge than people may believe.
